HMPF Capitol Hill Policy Forum 2019

On February 12, 2019, HMPF sponsored a policy forum addressing workplace accommodations for employees with headache disorders and migraine disease.

The policy breakfast featured opening remarks from former Congressman Tony Coelho, a policy panel moderated by Partnership to Improve Patient Care Executive Director, Sara van Geertruyden, patient advocate and Content Editor at “Migraine Again,” Angie Glaser, Disability Policy Director for the office of Senator Bob Casey, Michael Gamel-McCormick, and Aimed Alliance’s Stacey Worthy, J.D. The event ended with remarks from Congressman Andy Harris, MD.

More than 200 participants including Headache on the Hill advocates, stakeholder members and supporters, and Capitol Hill staff gathered in the Russell Senate Office Building to learn more about treatment options for veterans with migraine.
